Alpinestars launches retro-style Turnstone leather boots

The Italian manufacturer of equipment and gear Alpinestars offers a wide range of riding equipment that encompasses all disciplines of two-wheeled sports. From downhill mountain biking to motocross and road racing, Alpinestars has it all. Along with its motorsport-centric product offerings, the company also has an impressive repertoire of street-oriented driving equipment. The latest, the Turnstone, was designed to appeal to the retro audience.

The Alpinestars Turnstone riding boots incorporate a classic design with modern technology. Based on the iconic Chelsea-style boot, the Turnstone is crafted from 1.5mm full cowhide leather that promises to offer the best of both worlds in comfort and protection. The Turnstone does not have any visible lacing or straps, but has instead been designed around an innovative new hidden lace system that can be adjusted by pulling on the tongue on the back of the boot. This feature provides an extremely clean aesthetic, while eliminating the risk of laces or straps catching on the controls at the foot of your bike.

As is the case with all kicks approved by Alpinestars motorcycles, special attention has been paid to the parts of the foot most prone to injury when it comes to the protective characteristics of this boot. Dual density mid and outer cups have been integrated around the ankle to protect against impact and crushing forces. Additional support around the heel and toe box has also been added for better overall protection. The entire boot is also constructed from a thick cowhide material, providing excellent abrasion resistance.

When it comes to comfort and convenience, the Turnstone enjoys a snug fit thanks to the previously mentioned hidden lacing system. As well as being easy to adjust with a simple pull on a tongue, it also allows you to easily put on and take off the shoe, just like you would with a regular pair of slip-on sneakers. The new Alpinestars Turnstone leather boots are CE Level 1 certified and can be purchased in black or brown. The size of these riding boots is 38-48, and the price has been set at 209.95 euros, which is the equivalent of 248 USD.
