I love Hultén’s new retro-style NES console and synthesizer

Today we’re looking at the new NES console meets artist synthesizer I love Hulten. We’ve featured a number of wild designs from Hultén over the year, not the least of which is this custom retro gaming coffee table, but today it’s all about the new NES-SY37. This is a unique concept piece and, just like the rest of Hultén’s creations, is a sight to behold, combining retro aesthetics with clean lines to create a one-of-a-kind NES synthesizer and console. The wooden design draws inspiration from Nintendo’s legendary home console as well as the Commodore SX-64 handheld to deliver what could only be described as a must-have creation. NES-SY37: I love Hultén’s new NES console synthesizer

The new NES console synthesizer is known as NES-SY37. It’s essentially a retro console with a built-in 800×600 LCD screen alongside a companion MIDI keyboard controller, all inspired by the look and feel of Nintendo’s original NES console.

On the synthesizer side, you are dealing with a polyphonic sound NES Poly Chiptune Synthesizer (Arcano) alongside spring reverb and happiness L (Twisted Electronics) – a four-voice synthesizer and drum machine modeled after the original Nintendo console’s RP2A07 sound chip. The accompanying keyboard connects to the rest of the machine using a traditional seven-pin NES port to provide polyphonic musical input while triggering screens MIDI Visualizer created in collaboration with the artist p1xelfool.

The whole thing is a pretty gorgeous creation that seems to fit right in with tech consoles from the 1960s and 70s. In addition to music-making action, Love Hultén’s new NES console synthesizer also supports NES game cartridges. originals that can be read on the aforementioned screen. The machine has a second seven-pin port so the classic NES and other Nintendo controllers can be connected.
