Pepsi launches 2 new retro-style sodas with Doja Cat to celebrate its 50th anniversary

What the movie Fat and Grammy-nominated artist Doja Cat have in common? The new Pepsi-Cola soda store! The soft drink company just unveiled two new flavors that are a modern take on old favorites made with real sugar. The flavors of Pepsi-Cola Soda Shop are cream soda and black cherry.

To celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary and showcase the new flavors, Pepsi enlisted the help of artist “Kiss Me More” to remix “You’re the One That I Want”. The video begins with a Sandy-esque Doja at a celebration of Rydell alumni. Across the road, she spots her macho, Danny Zuko, decked out in his best T-Birds, opening a can of the new retro-logoed Pepsi in cream soda flavor. She has chills, and they multiply. At the end of the nearly two-minute clip, our innocent Doja-Sandy is fully glamorous with leather, studs and red lipstick, ready to grab her object of affection, a can of Pepsi-Cola Soda Shop.

This Pepsi announcement comes just in time for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday, which Doja Cat will host. She will also perform the new version of “You’re The One That I Want”. Starting September 20, the Limited Edition Pepsi-Cola Soda Boutique in Cream Soda and Black Cherry flavors will be available for purchase nationwide. Fans can purchase the sodas in 20oz bottles and 12oz cans.
