PUBG teases retro fashion crates and more in latest update


Thanks to a recent update from the team behind the hugely popular Battle Royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), we know some of the new experiences to come in the record game. We first learned that a third new map would be arriving this year, but what about more immediate content drops?

Along with continued anti-cheating measures efforts, a development roadmap is also planned for March. Before that, however, the team behind PUBG just released a brand new patch. Remarks which includes the usual bug fixes and tweaks, but also shows new ways players can customize their toons. New crates, a little retro flashback, and more. Check out the full patch notes below:

New crates

  • Addition of two new crates (free / paid)
  • Change of cash register system
    • The new paid checkout (FEVER) can be obtained separately from the “weekly checkouts” screen.
    • You can open the paid cashier with the Early Bird key which can be purchased on the Steam market
    • The new free cash register (MILITIA) has a drop rate of 40%. The abandonment rates of previous funds are shown below

  • Replacement of some fences in Miramar with unbreakable fences or walls in order to optimize the customer.


  • When the player gets on the plane, they will no longer be able to see the inside of the plane. This is to improve client and server performance early in the game.
    • Other players will be visible once they jump off the plane
    • When you fly, you can check the number of remaining passengers through the new UI element at the bottom left of the screen


  • When you report someone through the replay system, we will now receive a one-minute replay file centered on the point of your report.
    • Cannot report through a replay file that was created more than a week ago
    • It is not possible to report the same player more than once in the same replay file

Bug fixes

  • Fixed issue where player would die from falling when jumping and climbing
  • Fixed the issue where, after re-logging into the game, the player would get a faulty sight when using ADS on their weapon
  • Fixed the issue where the player would not take damage after entering a vehicle from a prone position and then exiting while the vehicle was moving
  • Fixed the issue where after entering the vehicle (passenger seat) from lying down and using healing / stimulation items, the player would use the items while lying down instead of sitting down


  • Changes made to prevent reduced healing time / boost cheat

The fever cases and the latest patch kicks off February 22 on Steam.
